Comet 17P/Holmes Observations, Oct 29 - Nov 19 2007

This is a sequence of sketches made almost every clear night between Oct 25 and 18 Nov 2007 following the outburst of Comet 17P/Holmes. The left image of each pair was made in my 8" f/6 Newtonian using a 13mm Type 6 Nagler eyepiece. The sketch on the right was made using the 8x50 RACI finder. The motion of the comet in the finder sketch is obvious and I've tried to include the same field stars to tie the observations together. All times are local.
